Why journalists have an obligation to challenge power?. Journal #6

Journalists must maintain a level of neutrality, but there are cases where it can't be kept in a firm position and those cases are: racism, discrimination, human rights, corruption and dictatorships. In these cases it is very difficult to keep quiet and afraid to talk, but we should always think well before talking or writing because we can cause more problems due to the fact that we will always have to interview very powerful people. I agree with Jorge Ramos because in my years of studies, my teachers always taught me that journalists can't be part of the news or take sides, we must be neutral, but there are situations where we can't because if we do, we would be accomplices of everything we know. I think that if I don't ask one question, nobody else will do it, and I won't do interviews to make friends, I do it for work and with passion. As I mentioned before, if a journalist isn't neutral the news can be perceived in a wrong way, so it is important to always say things in the clearest way possible so that in the future isn't handled in a bad way.
